Green Room, Montessori Teacher Intern
2nd year at VGM
Hi there! I’m Ali Kovalcik, and I am thrilled to be a part of the team at Village Green Montessori. As a passionate and enthusiastic Montessori teacher, I’m excited to be joining Ms. Alisha and the Green Room team. Last year I had the privilege of working with Ms. Kathy and the talented teachers in the Yellow Room. Before joining VGM, I was a self-directed intern working as a lead Directress at a local Montessori school. However, I was seeking a school with experienced, dedicated teachers who could help me reach my goal of becoming the best possible Directress I can be, and VGM has proven to be the perfect fit!
Currently, I am pursuing my Montessori Early Childhood Certification through the Midwest Teacher Training Center, while also working towards my bachelor’s degree at Arizona Global Campus. I hold an associate degree in early childhood education from American Military University. My love for teaching and my commitment to the Montessori method is evident in my dedication to helping children learn and grow.
Not only am I a teacher at VGM, but I’m also a parent! My three-year-old son, Elijah, is a student in the Blue Room, so I have a personal investment in the success of our school and our students. My husband Michael is an active-duty Marine, and we are stationed at Great Lakes. Outside of teaching, I love to host friends and family, bake, hike, bike, camp. and spend time outdoors with my family. My family includes our two German shorthaired pointer dogs and a bearded dragon!
I am excited to continue my journey as part of the VGM community, and I look forward to learning and growing as a teacher alongside our amazing, loving, and passionate team.
