3 years at VGM
Hello, my name is Alisha Bolling. I am so happy to be returning to the Green Room and the Village Green Montessori family for a third year. I’m excited to be working with a fresh team of teachers: Ms. Ali and Ms. Toni. Ms. Amber will join us in the afternoons with some extended day Orange Room children.
I am originally from Durban, a small city near the east coast of South Africa. My Montessori journey started at Montessori Academy of Chicago in 2009 while looking for a school for my daughter, Makayla, who was 2 years old at the time. Montessori seemed like the perfect fit for her: the real-life practical life activities allowed her to move around the class, and she excelled academically, learning her continents at age 3. It was a joy watching her learn about my home in South Africa and our new home in the United States.
After finishing my Montessori Training at Seton Montessori Institute in 2012, I went on to teach as a directress at Little Explorers Christian Montessori where my daughter also completed her Kindergarten year. The enthusiasm and joy I felt watching my own daughter grow in the Montessori classroom and soak up the world we live in using her five senses have never left me. I can’t wait to see all of Village Green’s returning families and get acquainted with our new families too!
