Michelle Noll

Orange Room Directress
3 years at VGM

Hello, my name is Michelle Noll, and I am excited to be returning for a third year working with the amazing teachers at A Village Green Montessori! For the past two years, I had the privilege of working in the Yellow Room. This year, I’m excited to be the new lead teacher for the Orange Room which has now become a primary classroom.

I have always loved working with children. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University. I also hold an Illinois teaching certificate for kindergarten through ninth grade. After finishing college, I experienced Montessori education and was amazed by the academic progress children make while following their own interests. I taught at Skokie Montessori from 2006-2010 as the lead Lower Elementary teacher. I obtained my American Montessori Society Elementary 1 Credential, which is the Montessori teaching certificate for first through third grade.

I am now in the process of completing my Montessori certification for the primary age, 3 to 6-year-olds. I’m looking forward to working with Ms. Amber during her Montessori internship year as well.

My journey at VGM began several years ago when my daughter, Autumn, started preschool in the Blue Room. Later, my son Henry came to VGM as a two-year-old and attended through kindergarten. I chose Village Green for its balanced approach to Montessori education.

I am so happy to be teaching again. Though I had taken time off to stay at home with my children, it felt like no time had passed when I returned to teaching in a classroom.
I look forward to helping students learn academic skills and gain independence!
