2nd year at VGM
Hello! My name is Toni Hoetzer. I joined the VGM family last year working with my friends in the Green Room! This year I’m excited to be working mornings in the Green and Orange Rooms. I’ll also be a support teacher for the afternoon classrooms. Prior to coming to VGM, I taught at another local Montessori school as an Assistant Teacher.
I grew up in Round Lake Park, the youngest of 6 children. Early on in my high school days, I discovered my love for children. Through volunteering at my old grade school, I found myself in the kindergarten class and loving it! Instead of the required 20 hours, I logged over a hundred hours- all in just my first year of high school! Ever since then, I have been captivated by helping young ones learn and grow. It is such an honor for me to be a part of setting them up for greatness. I am currently pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education at Northern Illinois University in the hopes of one day leading a classroom of my very own.
I now currently live in Grayslake with my high school sweetheart and our dog, Bentley. I enjoy all things to do with nature, especially plants and animals! I am beyond excited to be a part of such an amazing school environment. I am looking forward to learning all that I can and working alongside amazing people every day!
