Amber Dzajkich
Green Room Co-Directress, After School Club Lead, Music Instructor
4 years at VGM
Hello! My name is Amber Dzajkich (pronounced Zy-kich—it’s easier than it looks!). I’m excited to return to the Green Room for my fourth school year as co-lead alongside Ms. Bekah, with support from our wonderful assistant, Ms. Heather. We are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
I began my journey at VGM as an assistant in the Green Room, then spent the past two years supporting both the Orange and Green Rooms, while also working through my Montessori training at the Seton Montessori Institute. I’ll be completing my training soon and am excited to bring everything I’ve learned into the classroom! Prior to Montessori training, I earned my Child Development Associate (CDA) certification.
I grew up in a small town in Southern California with three siblings, an older brother and two younger sisters. I moved to Illinois seven years ago and live in Vernon Hills with my boyfriend of six years and our dog, Nova.
My love for teaching began in high school when I cared for children of all ages and continued as a nanny while attending college. I have a musical background, having played clarinet for 12 years, tenor saxophone for 6 years, and piano for 2 years. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, movies, crafts, and music.
