Gigi Yam-Amenuvor

Hello!  My name is Gigi Yam-Amenuvor. I am happy to be returning for my fourth year serving the families of A Village Green Montessori as co-office manager alongside Shelly Sisk. 

I grew up in Hong Kong, China and moved to the U.S. when I was 19. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management Information System from Northern Illinois University. I started my career as an IT project manager. After a decade in the industry, I took some time off from the corporate world to focus on my growing family. It was during that time I found fulfillment by serving nonprofit organizations. I particularly enjoyed volunteering as a student mentor.

My husband, James, and I have three sons. Vitus is a sophomore and Magnus is a freshman at Libertyville High School. My youngest, Aurelius, is a second grader at Adler Park School. All of our boys are VGM alumni and enjoy the great outdoors. Our favorite things to do as a family is to travel internationally and experience different cultures.

In my free time, I enjoy  meditation & barre as well as serving with our church. I love being a member of the VGM staff and look forward to serving each of you in the VGM community!
