Ivonne Kellogg

Hello, my name is Ivonne Kellogg. I am thrilled to be returning for my fourth year at A Village Green Montessori alongside Ms. Sarah and Ms. Lakshmi in the Rainbow 1 Classroom. I reside in Lindenhurst with my husband, two sons Immanuel (18) and Julian (8) who is a VGM grad, and our Tabby cat named Buzz. I am a native of the vibrant country of Mexico. 

I have an Associate of Arts degree, and I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Colorado State University Global Campus. I also received a paraprofessional certificate from Seton Montessori Institute and recently completed my Child Development Associate certification. 

My teaching journey began in college when I worked at a before and after school program at a Palatine public school. Then, I cared for infants and toddlers at a childcare center where I later became a lead teacher. I have a passion for teaching little ones. Seeing them gain new skills, express their creativity, and develop new friendships is a delight! 

After my youngest was born, I joined the staff at Home of the Sparrow, a transitional shelter for women and children. I took great pride in supporting women as they developed self-reliance. My work experience has helped me become culturally competent, creative, and an active listener.

In my spare time, I enjoy nature walks, reading, thrifting, and watching movies with my family. I’m looking forward to a wonderful school year! I’m excited to meet all the VGM families and help the children bloom!
