Jocelyne Jamie

Hello! My name is Jocelyne Jaime, and I am excited to start my fifth year at VGM in the Yellow Room as an assistant teacher.

My experience with the Montessori curriculum began in 2017 when I worked at Old School Montessori in Grayslake in the infant-toddler classroom. Later, I was given the opportunity to work in the 3 to 6-year-old classroom as an assistant teacher. The experience was incredibly rewarding, and I learned so much from all the teachers there.

I earned a Paraprofessional Assistant Teacher Certification from Seton Montessori Institute. This fall, I will continue my Montessori training to become certified as a lead teacher in Early Childhood. Working with students has been the most heartwarming and fulfilling experience. I am a firm believer in children being our future and having the power to change the world. I feel it is up to us to provide them with the best care, compassion, support, and resources necessary to succeed. Every student I have worked with has impacted my life greatly and has truly empowered me to keep growing and learning.

Outside of school, I enjoy running, reading, and watching movies. I love spending time with my family, friends, and my sweet cat, Tama! I feel so fortunate to be part of Village Green, and I am looking forward to another wonderful school year!
