Lauren Cooke

Yellow Room Support Teacher

2 years at VGM

My name is Lauren Cooke, and I am so excited to begin my second year at A Village Green Montessori! I will serve as a support teacher this year as well as the Friday assistant teacher in Orange Room, where I previously watched my daughter Bailey thrive. My youngest, Clare, completed the tot program and is excited to begin her time in the Yellow Room this school year!

I earned my degree at Carthage College, majoring in elementary education with a minor in history. After graduating, I moved to Indiana with my college sweetheart and started my teaching career. My teaching experiences range from first grade all the way to eighth grade.

After making many memories and growing as a teacher, we were ready to return to my hometown of Libertyville and expand our family. I took some time off from teaching to be home with my daughters, and it has felt so wonderful to return to this rewarding profession.

My husband and I are enjoying raising our two girls in Libertyville immensely. Our free time consists of playing in Cook Park, hanging out with my parents, twin sister, and niece who all live in town, and getting to Door County any chance we get. When I find a quiet moment, you will find me with my head bent over a book or watching Bravo.

I can’t wait to start the school year and meet this incoming group of amazing kiddos!
