Lilly Chiu

Hello! My name is Lilly Chiu, and I am so excited to start my journey here at VGM as a partner teacher in the Green Room.

I live in Libertyville with my husband, Steve, and my four energetic, artistic, nature-loving kids (Charlotte-11, Olive-8, Violet-7 and Luca-5).  We just moved to Illinois from Tennessee two months ago and have truly enjoyed our summer, getting to know the area and the people.  

I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Humboldt State University. I also hold a teaching credential for PreK-6 with endorsements in English Language Learning and Early Childhood Education. I have taught PreK-3 for 20 years, the last 9 of which I have had the joy of working at my children’s private preschool as the lead junior kindergarten teacher.  What an honor it has been to watch my children grow!

In my free time, I am always with my family! Recently, we have been venturing out to the beach and to Adler Pool. We are also in the process of renovating our house. 

I am excited to meet all of the families and learners this year. Teaching truly is my happy place. Thank you so much for entrusting me with your child’s care. I promise to make learning FUN!
