Roxana Marginean (Ms. Roxy)

Hello! My name is Roxana Marginean, or as the children call me, Ms. Roxy. I am thrilled to be part of the Village Green Montessori family! I joined VGM in October 2024 as a permanent substitute teacher and then taught in the Yellow Room. I am so excited to join the Blue Room this year and to work alongside Ms. Abbey to create a nurturing and enriching environment where every child feels valued and supported.

I earned my paraprofessional certification from Seton Montessori Institute, and I have over thirteen years of experience in early childhood education. Before joining VGM, I had the joy of teaching three-year-olds at the Vernon Hills Park District preschool, where I discovered my passion for building inclusive, loving spaces where children can thrive, feel safe, and grow confidently. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness the spark of pride in a child’s eyes as they master new skills or form lasting friendships.

Originally from Transylvania, Romania, I spent six wonderful years in Northern Ireland, where I earned a Diploma in Management from the Northern Regional College of Ballymena. I now live in Vernon Hills with my husband, our spirited ten-year-old daughter, and our sweet cat. In my free time, I love cheering on my daughter’s swimming, baking, crocheting, and spending time with my family.
