Roxana Marginean (Ms. Roxy)

Hello! My name is Roxana Marginean, though the children know me as Ms. Roxy. This is my third year with VGM and my second year as an assistant teacher in the Blue Room. I cannot wait to work again alongside Ms. Abbey to  create a warm, nurturing, and enriching environment where every child feels valued and supported. In the afternoons, I will transition with the children to the Yellow Room, where I will serve as a support teacher for our full-day students and assist with Kindergarten Club. 

I hold a Diploma in Management from the Northern Regional College in Northern Ireland. I earned my Paraprofessional Certification from Seton Montessori Institute and have more than fourteen years of experience in early childhood education. I am passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing environments that inspire curiosity, foster independence, and support each child's unique path of development. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is watching children gain confidence, embrace new challenges, and take pride in their growing independence and accomplishments.

I live in Vernon Hills with my husband, our eleven year old daughter, and our sweet cat. Outside of school, I enjoy attending concerts, reading, taking family walks, and proudly cheering on my daughter as she competes in swimming championships.

I can't wait to welcome our new students, reconnect with our returning students, and share another incredible year filled with learning, growth, and joyful experiences together!
