Toni Vargas

Hello! My name is Toni Vargas. This will be my fourth year at A Village Green Montessori. I’m excited to return to the Blue Room and as a support teacher for all classrooms, including our nap room! Prior to teaching at VGM, I taught at another local Montessori school as an assistant teacher.

I completed the Seton Montessori Institute paraprofessional training, and I am currently pursuing my degree in Early Childhood Education at Northern Illinois University in the hopes of one day leading a classroom of my very own.  

I grew up in Round Lake Park, the youngest of six children. During high school, I discovered my love for children. Through volunteering at my old grade school, I found myself in the kindergarten class and loving it! Instead of the required twenty hours, I logged over a hundred hours— all in just my first year of high school! Ever since then, I have been passionate about helping young ones learn and grow. It is truly an honor to be a part of setting children up for success.

I live in Round Lake Beach with my husband, my high school sweetheart. We are getting ready to welcome our first child, a little boy, this October. We are beyond excited! We also have two dogs and a cat. I absolutely love to read and will always take book recommendations! I also enjoy nature, especially plants and animals. 

I am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing school environment at Village Green. I am looking forward to learning all that I can and working alongside amazing people every day!
